Abstract

To have a better understanding of how air injection slot position affect surface pressure and surface streamline, a detailed experimental investigation has been undertaken in a large camber angle compressor cascade with air injection slot. The result indicated that the flow condition at the corner zone was improved with air injection slot, meanwhile, the losses at midspan of blade were decreased; slot position had great effect on compressor cascade performance, the optimal slot position lay in 25 percent of blade span away from the end wall, the total loss coefficient decreased 4.9 percent; air injection slot had little effect on static pressure at the end wall.
