Abstract

Swept angle is one of the most important geometric parameters of the strut in scramjet. Different swept angle makes different geometric shape of strut, and must lead to different performance. CFD method was used in the paper to obtain the cold-state flow field of scramjet model with different struts, which were different in swept angles, when the Mach number of far free stream was 5 and 6. The results showed little difference between the drag coefficients of the struts, while their swept angles changed from 0 to 60 degree. But the drag coefficients of all the struts were very small because of the small wedge angle of the leading edge. And the drag coefficient on the struts reduced when the Mach number of free stream increased.
