Abstract

Numerical simulation was applied to the unsteady flow at the mid span of a two-stage low-speed compressor. The aerodynamic load of the second row of stator blade at two typical circumferential positions was investigated. The influence of unsteady aerodynamic load of each blade cascade and the stator clocking effect on blade aerodynamic load was also analyzed. Through spectrum analysis of the unsteady aerodynamic forces and moments of each blade cascade, the unsteady aerodynamic interferences between blades were discussed. The results show that, the influence of stator clocking effects on the stator blade's unsteady aerodynamic loads is larger than that on the rotor blade. Stator clocking effect can help improve the compressor performance and its blade service life.
