Abstract

A new swirl pulverized coal burner known as radial bias combustion swirl burner (RBC), was introduced. A pulverized coal concentrator is set in the primary air passage, and the primary air is separated into two parts, in which one has higher concentration of particles than another, since the fuel rich jet owns a stronger flame stability The outlet air velocity, turbulent kinetic energy, particle diameter and particle concentration of the burner under different angle of lean primary air outlet were measured, and the effect of lean primary air outlet angle on the RBC was analyzed.
