Abstract

This paper studied film cooling effectiveness of certain guide vane which constitute of tail slot and multi-rows of cooling holes structure. The vane has two cooling cavities which second cavity communicate with tail slot. There are eleven rows of cooling holes lay on the vane surface. The paper demonstrated the process of solid modeling and mesh generation. The Cp and Cu located at middle of vane was presented and the character of corresponding location was discussed. The mean lateral film cooling effectiveness on pressure side and suction side along streamwise direction was reported under inner surface heat conduction and outer face film cooling condition, the trait of both surface was analyzed.
