Abstract

The effect of initial structure on the hydro-forming of toroidal shells was investigated. The investigations were performed to avoid the occurrence of wrinkling in the hydro-forming process for manufacturing elbow pipes. The results showed that the wrinkles could be prevented by selecting an appropriate initial structure.
