Abstract

In order to improve the adsorptivity of MWNTs were modified by super-critical water(SCW) techniques. The effects of different treatment temperatures and times in SCW on the structure and morphology of MWNTs were investigated. The FTIR, XPS, Raman and SEM were used to analyze the changes of structure and morphology of MWNTs before and after SCW treatment. The results showed that MWNTs were slightly oxidized (the highest oxygen content is 4.23%) and strongly etched (the highest ID/IG value is 0.62) in the super-critical water. Moreover, the effect of treatment time is more obvious than that of treatment temperature.
