Abstract

The influence of applied magnetic field on the Curie temperature, Gibbs free energy and α (bcc)/γ (fcc) phase transition in Fe-based alloys was studied. The calculated results indicate that with the increasing of external magnetic field strength, the magnetization and Curie temperature increase, however, the magnetic free energy of the α phase decreases, which results in that the α phase becomes more stable in pure Fe and Fe-X systems.
