Abstract
This paper presents a numerical investigation to explore the control effect of single and double Vortex Generator jets in a high subsonic compressor cascade, the influence of jet parameters are also considered. The flow fields and the main vortex structure changes in the cascade are also analyzed in detail. The simulation results show that, both single Jet and co-rotating jets have a good effect in reducing total pressure loss and increasing the ability of flow turning. The control effect of relative distance is small, but is more sensitive to the change of pitch and skew angle. The control mechanisms of single and double jets are basically identical, after using the VGJs, it is shown that end-wall cross flow is effectively controlled. Passage vortex, concentrated shedding vortex, wall vortex and wall corner vortex is weakened, the induced vortex is formed near the suction surface at the same time, the boundary layer separation was also delayed.
