Abstract

Matching of magnetic pressure and workpiece profile is an important factor in electromagnetic forming. Magnetic pressure can be controlled by changing coil structure parameters, and then deformation of part can be controlled as well. Loose coupling method was presented to analyze the electromagnetic forming with combination coil in this paper. Effect of coil structure parameters on electromagnetic tube bulging was studied, and time-space distribution of magnetic pressure was given. It is of great importance to further research on electromagnetic dieless forming.
