Abstract

In order to describe the relationship between the incident angle of trihedral corner reflector and the received power of laser ranging system, the relationships between the beam incident angle and the effective reflective area of trihedral corner reflector is analyzed. The formula of the laser radar cross sections (LRCS) of trihedral corner reflector varying with the beam incident angle is derived according to the effective reflective area. Accordingly, the relationship between the received power of laser ranging system and the beam incident angle is gotten. Theoretical analysis and simulation results indicate that the received power reduces as the incident angle increases. When the incident angle is up to maximum, the received power proliferates. The max incident angle is ± 54.74°.
