Abstract

The effect of annealing treatment on the matrix microstructure of SiCw/Al composite was studied. The dislocation state was examined by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and the specimens for TEM observation were prepared by ion milling. It was found that the dislocation state of SiCw/Al composite can be changed greatly by annealing treatment.
