Abstract
The initial crystallographic texture of anisotropic ZK60 magnesium alloy was investigated by using electron back scatter diffraction (EBSD) technology. The anisotropy of ZK60 magnesium alloy was studied by uniaxial tensile tests and deep drawing tests. The formation and evolution of earing in deep drawing test were studied by experimentation. The results show that the average earing ratio of drawn cup increases with the increasing of forming temperature, which relates to the planar anisotropy coefficient Δr. The average earing ratio increases first and then decreases with the increasing of drawing ratio. The thickness strain distribution of the drawing cup along 45° to the rolling direction is higher than those along 0° and 90° directions in the shoulder region due to its plastic strain ratio (r-value). In addition, the thickness distribution along 0° is lower than those along 45° and 90° directions in the necking region due to its minimum r-value.
