N2 - Round trip time of arrival (TOA) measurements (RTMs) are widely used in asynchronous wireless localization networks. Recent researches show that if the scheduling policy is properly designed, some 'silent' nodes can enhance the localization accuracy by purely 'listening' to the RTM signals, which are so called eavesdroppers. Eavesdroppers are attractive in complexity and energy limited scenarios, due to the fact that no transmissions are required. In this paper, we first present a general time division multiple access (TDMA) based scheduling strategy, by which the eavesdropper can be introduced as an independent 'listener', or as special anchors. Furthermore, we perform corresponding resource allocation based on the presented strategy. Numeric results show the performance advantages achieved by the eavesdroppers, and provide meaningful insights to the practical algorithm development.
