Abstract

In order to investigate the dynamic behavior of the transmission line system, the finite element model of the system was built by ANSYS, and the vibration frequencies were compared between the single tower with two lines system and the three towers with four lines system by taking the typical 500 kV 5A-ZM2 transmission tower as an example. The numerical result illustrates that the model of single tower with two lines system can achieve satisfying accuracy with convenient work. In addition, the frequency range of the transmission line system can be obtained by the model analysis on the single tower with two lines system. The results indicate that the frequency of the transmission line system is very intensive, the first 159 vibration modes reveal the vibration of the insulator and the line, and the later modes reveal the vibration of the tower.
