Durability and evaluation parameter of structure damage of concrete at subzero temperature

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

This paper investigated the compressive strength(R), loss of compressive strength after 50 freeze-thaw-cycles(Δf) and permeability (P)of concrete with and without anti-freezing admixture undergoing different curing system. The (R, Δf, P)28/(R, Δf, P)028, (R, Δf, P)-7+28/(R, Δf, P)028 and (R, Δf, P)-7+28/(R, Δf, P)28 are chose to evaluate structure damage of concrete at subzero temperature. The results show that the(R, Δf, P)-7+28/(R, Δf, P)28 make up for the lack of anti-freezing admixture standard of JC475. These evaluation parameters are complete and are able to judge the effects of type of antifreeze on structure damage of concrete. If paying much more attention on durability of concrete, the future design direction of antifreeze was given. Appropriate extension of pre-curing time was an important measure to improve the durability of concrete.
