Abstract

In order to evaluate driving characteristics, the synthetic characteristics of sensation, judgment and operation of drivers were researched based on the experimental psychology. By using perception devices of depth and speed to analyze driving characteristics of a certain amount of drivers disparate in age and sex, the single item evaluation of driving characteristics was determined after testing the index threshold value. Based on fuzzy accumulation analysis, the synthetic appraisal classification was established, to evaluate the driving characteristics of sensation, judgment and operation comprehensively. The result indicates that the synthetic appraisal classification has the consistency of 77.2% with the number of accidents caused by drivers. The study provides a theoretical basis for examination and training of drivers.
