Abstract

The use the floating catalyst chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method for producing double wall carbon nanotube (DWCNT) is discussed. It was demonstrated. It was shown that DWCNTs with an inner diameter of 0.4 nm can be synthesized utilizing this method. Using scanning electron microscopy, it was shown that DWCNTs consists of entangled carbon nanotubes and onion-like pure carbon particles. The transport and electronic properties of such nanotubes were also studied.
