Abstract
In order to keep carrier aircrafts taking off and landing safely, the carrier posture need to be predicted for carriers sailing on the sea. The bow wave method can only show the wave movements, without considering the interactions between the sea wave and aircraft carrier. This paper proposes an encounter-wave-based bow wave method, which uses the observation sequence of encounter wave in lieu of sea wave as the system interference of ARMA model to make the carrier posture prediction more accurate. Under 4 class sea condition, the two methods are discussed and compared. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The error of pitching movement with 4 s predictions is less than 0.03°, and the error with 8 s predictions is less than 0.15°. The errors of rolling movement with 4 s and 8 s predictions are less than 0.05° and 0.06°, respectively.
