N2 - Extra large-scale multiple input multiple output (XL-MIMO) can meet the high spectral efficiency requirement of 6 G, but also faces the challenge caused by the increase in computational complexity. The non-negligible near-field effect of XL-MIMO channel makes the traditional channel estimation algorithm no longer applicable. In order to reduce the complexity and reconstruct XL-MIMO channel, this paper proposes a distributed near-field channel estimation algorithm. The preliminary channel estimation is performed in the local processing unit (LPU) and then the path selection is performed in the central processing unit (CPU). Afterwards, a downlink channel reconstruction scheme for frequency division duplexin (FDD) system based on sub-array architecture is proposed. Results show that the subarray architecture can reduce the complexity and ensure the accuracy of XL-MIMO channel reconstruction.
