Abstract

The direct numerical simulation of droplet breakup in homogeneous isotropic turbulence is investigated with the level set method. The Q-R analysis indicates that turbulent topology in the liquid phase is modified until a steady state. The study of interaction between turbulence structures and interface reveals that interface generates vortex structures that parallel to the interface.
