N2 - High quality (K 0.95Li0.05)(Ta1-xNb x)O3 (KLTN), x=0.44-0.66, single crystals have been successfully grown by the top-seeded melt growth method. Based on the dielectric property measurements, three phase transition temperatures are determined. The Curie temperatures can be adjusted from 328 K to 478 K with increasing niobium content in the KLTN compositions. Low dielectric loss values are typically found at near room temperatures. Between heating and cooling runs, a hysteretic temperature-dependent dielectric behavior is noticed in all crystals measured. The good crystal quality obtained and the desirable room temperature dielectric properties of the KLTN crystals reported make this family of crystal material highly attractive for further investigations.
