Developments and prospect of behavior system theory

Behavioral approach as an important method in the study of dynamical system has extensive applications in system modeling and control design. The developments of the theory and applications of behavioral approach in the last twenty years are reviewed. New research results on analysis and design of dissipative systems by behavioral approach are stated briefly with some remarks on the some difficult problems of behavioral theory.
