Abstract
This paper introduces the techniques and application of forming crankshaft in recent years. The forming processes of forging crankshaft and casting crankshaft are analyzed and described. It is pointed out that there are faults and developing trend about the crankshaft forming techniques. Hydroforming is an advanced technology with features of lightness and unified part. This study shows that hydroforming can be applied in the production of crankshafts with good future.
