Development on the simulation system of NC machining process based on parallel machine tool

Abstract

In accordance with NC machining of six-freedom miller that is a parallel machine tool, a new simulation algorithm of NC machining process is proposed. This new simulation algorithm represents the workpiece and tool within allowable precision by Scan Algorithm based on view-coordinate system, thus simplifies the complex three-dimensional Boolean operation into one-dimensional Boolean operation. The NC machining simulation system of parallel machine tool is developed on microcomputer by VC++ according to the new simulation algorithm, and the simulation of NC machining process has been realized on parallel machine tool.
