Abstract
Belaruskali pays much attention to automation and computation of mine planning and design, as well as to engineering and technical support of mining. The recent practice has proved efficiency of newly developed and introduced information systems meant for geological surveying, engineering and technical support of mining operations, which is reflective of the correct decision-making by the company management. One of the determinants of general successful performance is formation of united information space at the level of a region (or a mine) with the multiuser access. An example of such system is a regional integrated model of a mineral deposit. It is very important to possess an integrated information model (IIM) of a deposit and a region as a whole for planning and management of underground mining. The regional IIM enables generation of a regional information space, from the ground surface down to the mining depth, accessible by multiple users. This article focuses on general conceptual approaches to design and creation of the corporate information system. The current state of the system is described, its elements under developed are presented, and the trends of the future research are identified. At the present day, Belaruskali holds a high-capacity corporate information storage and a set of instrumentation for planning and implementation of mining operations, which totally comply with the modern tendencies in the IT industry.
