N2 - Metal obstacles will be heated due to the eddying effect, if its location is between two coils belonging with the wireless power transfer system applying in the electric vehicle, and safety problems may occur easily. If metal obstacles is large, there will be efficiency decline, frequency detuning and other issues. So it is very important to detect the metal obstacles. In this paper, the theory about the influence of metal obstacles and the detection technology are analyzed. Based on the effect of metal to the resonance frequency, through the simulation, the detection system is designed by STM32. Through the experiment, the results indicates the feasibility of the proposed detection system.
