Abstract

A novel radiation model was established for guiding the development of photochemical reactors to promote the simulation technology onto the fields of photochemical engineering. As the mainstreaming software, the comsol@5.5 with (User Define Function) UDF, described the physical phenomenon on the light distribution in the water with titanium dioxide nanotubes/Ti (TNTs/Ti) mesh layers. During the process, the light-emitting diode (LED) arrays radiation model on the external interface on the reactor constructed by CAD, was solved by means of UDF compiled. Afterwards, the results calculated in the comsol@5.5, acted the boundary conditions as bilateral incidents illumination of the reactor. Eventually, the research obtained the distribution results by solving the radiative transfer equation (RTE), presenting the numerical simulation computing results.
