Abstract

Along with the global climate change, the decrease of CO 2 emission became an urgent need for human beings, thus, the low-carbon concept came into being and has been applied in all layers of human social life. The article seeks the characteristics of regionality, energy saving and sustainability that reflected in the design on indoor residential environment in cold areas based on low-carbon concept through taking the indoor residential environment in cold areas, a main indoor residential environment for human beings, as the research object, and based on that, discusses the low-carbon design strategy and method for residential environment in cold areas through researching from various composition elements of indoor environment design in cold areas, and hopes to promote sustainable development of design on indoor residential environment in China with help of low-carbon concept.
