Abstract

To address the problem of multiple missiles cooperatively intercepting a stationary target in three-dimensional (3D) space, a leader-following cooperative guidance law with constraints is proposed. Firstly, according to the 3D missiles-target relative motion equation, a 3D multi-missile cooperative guidance model is constructed. Secondly, based on the nonlinear dynamic inverse theory and time-scale separation, the control system is divided into slow-varying subsystems and fast-varying subsystems to simplify the design. Then, the cooperative guidance law is designed under the time constraints and the angle constraints, to ensure that the missiles can achieve time and space coordination within a limited time. Simulation case studies are carried out for the situation where one leader missile and three follower missiles are launched from different locations at the same time. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the cooperative guidance law. The practical importance of the design and the improvement direction of the design are finally summarized.
