Design of structure and control system for spiral tube gas liquid separator

Abstract

Combined characteristics of gravity and spiral tube centrifugal, a kind of spiral tube compound gas liquid separator was developed. Based on the boundary conditions of gas liquid separation under gravity effect, design methods of the diameter and height of the separator were given. Based on the boundary conditions under spiral tube centrifugal effect, design methods of the spiral tube section diameter and circle number were given. Summing up manual work experiments, the Fuzzy-PID controller for separator level was designed. Separating experiments show the separating capability of the separator is good, and the maximum oil and gas separated flux is 2.5 times as that of the same size gravity separator.
