Abstract

Based on the analysis of open CNC system, a new open-architecture soft CNC system, that is reconfigurable and extensible, is presented. It is constructed based on the WinNT and RTX systems, and adopted a new 3-tier software structure towards user. So the soft CNC system can be reconfigured to meet the demand of user, and is convenient for upgrading. In this system, the COM program and the Real-Time Dynamic Link Library (RTDLL) program can be programmed to extend the user's special instructions.
