Abstract

According to ABCD transmission matrix theory the cavity is designed. Considering the thermal-lensing effect, the stability of laser cavity and 1.54 μm laser beam waist are analyzed to guide optimized cavity parameters. By using Er3+:Yb3+ codoped phosphate glass, a flat-concave cavity system lasing 1.54μm wavelength of TEM00 mode is realized. The maximum output power of 21.5 mW and the optics to optics conversion efficiency up to 0.7% are obtained.
