Abstract

This paper presents a novel high-order mode dual-band monopole notch antenna. By introducing branch structures, the distortion in the radiation pattern caused by high-order modes in monopole antennas is addressed while incorporating higher-order modes. The antenna exhibits a reflection coefficient less than -10 dB within the frequency ranges of 1.43 GHz to 1.66 GHz and 2.92 GHz to 4.71 GHz. Additionally, with the incorporation of the notch structure, radiation suppression is achieved at 3.4 GHz. By adding a reflector, the antenna demonstrates a gain greater than 8 dBi within the operating frequency bands, show-casing favorable dual-band directional radiation characteristics. Furthermore, this type of antenna offers flexibility in controlling the operating frequency bands by adjusting the dimensions of the branch structure and the notch structure. It boasts a simple structure, ease of fabrication, making it suitable for Sub-6G applications.
