Abstract

In ECT system, it is difficult to compensate the couple capacitances in measuring the low value capacitance because there is a difference of two levels between the capacitance in electrodes and the coupling capacitance. The object of this paper is majored in the research of 12-electrode oil-water two-phase flow electrical capacitance tomography system. According to the principle of ECT system, the data acquisition system is designed. The low capacitance values are measured adopting the front compensation method and the key technique in the process of measuring is analyzed and discussed. The experimental results show that the method is practicable to the measurement of low value capacitance.
