Abstract

A kind of ultra-wideband magnetoelectric dipole antenna with folded Slots is proposed in this paper. The antenna is fed by the coaxial cable connected to a γ type structure. The optimized structure achieves a miniaturized dimension of 30× 66× 30mm3 with the impedance bandwidth of 0.98-3.70 GHz for - S11 - ¡-10dB. The wide bandwidth and relatively directional radiation pattern makes it applicable to the field of medical microwave imaging.
