Abstract

This article introduced four types of measure schemes for the Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) both in domestic and abroad. The BRDF was measured with the help of source fixed, sample rotated and detector displaced. Furthermore, put forward the improved method which can realize the measure improvement of the high precise hemisphere space reflectance characteristics of target material by utilizing the harmonized motivation of adjustable machine-arm structure and three stepping motors. A multi-spectrum BRDF measuring turntable was developed. This device facilitates the layout of BRDF measure system more reasonable and the precision higher. The rotary range of detecting arm is ±180°, the rotary range of sample holding table is 360° and the angular resolution is 0.036°. By analyzing error, the angular precision of this turntable is about 0.75%.
