Abstract

Generally speaking, corrugated horn has excellent qualities in all aspects, but its structure is too complex to design and fabricate at very high frequency. In case of low bandwidth demand, Potter horn can be used instead of corrugated horn, and its structure is simple to conveniently design and fabricate. This paper designs a Potter horn antenna, but different from the conventional one, the proposed horn antenna adopts the form of rectangular waveguide, and obtain the same performance as the conventional Potter horn, which makes the structure of Potter horn not limited to circular waveguide.
