Abstract

In order to improve the dynamic performance of the switched reluctance motor drive (SRD) in electric vehicle, the simulation model of the SRD is established and the effects of the load torque and operating angles are analyzed by simulation. A novel simultaneous optimization strategy is proposed to optimize the SRD dynamic performance based on weight factors, and the optimized operating angles as functions of load torque and rotor speed are developed by the novel method. Compared to the experimental results and simulation results from the torque ripple minimum and efficiency maximum methods, it is shown that the optimization strategy proposed in this paper can effectively optimize the dynamic performance of the SRD.
