Abstract

To meet the needs of decreasing vibration in aerospace environment, the advantages of composite material, such as lightweight, high density and modulus, designable mechanical characteristics, are used to develop isolation ring. The mechanism of isolation and the structure of isolator is researched, and several structural parameters and performance criterion of isolator are studied experimentally. The hysteresis loop and maximal dynamic stress are obtained, they provided the theoretical basis for practical application. Results showed that this kind of isolator has good isolation performance. The changes of the distribution of fibers, the numbers of rings and main geometric parameters can improve the damping characteristics of isolator and can meet the needs of different conditions.
