Abstract
A single-coil SPT (Stationary Plasma Thruster) with low-power was developed using parametric method to study its internal magnetic field and performance characteristics. The simulation using the simplified model and experimental results of magnetic field are basically consistent with each other. It suggests that the simplification of numerical model is credible, and the basic performance of SPT is satisfactroy in power range of 100~450W. The SPT has high efficiency when the maximum strength of magnetic field is about 300Gs and 300Gs/cm of gradient near the channel exit.
