Abstract
This paper investigates compensation networks for coupling coils in wireless power transfer (WPT), focusing on the LCC-LCC compensation network. This network is widely recognized for its constant current output characteristic and insensitivity to non-contact transformer offset. Since the resonant frequency is independent of the coupling coefficient of the coupling coil, it provides stable current transfer. This paper analyzes system efficiency and identifies key parameters for the coupling coils and rectifier. A simulation model is built in PSIM to obtain primary and secondary current waveforms, output voltage and transmission efficiency curves under load conditions. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the compensation design. A 200W wireless charging prototype was built, achieving 91.6% efficiency from the DC power supply to the battery load.
