abstract = "Flood control blocking and water-blocking plates play a crucial role in flood control and disaster reduction. In the event of an emergency flood, the water barrier should quickly close to block the flood. This article mainly introduces a suspension bridge-type flood control and water-blocking device and analyzes the key components of the water-blocking plate device through calculation and mechanical simulation. The results showed that the waterproof baffle can effectively support a heavy object of 3 tons, and the time required for the baffle to close is only 0.6 minutes. It can respond quickly in emergency situations, effectively ensuring the smooth progress of flood prevention and sealing operations.",
