Abstract

Nonlinear equations are established for failures in materials during forming and manufacturing, which result from elastoplastic buckling under axial compression, using energy methods and the buckling function. And equilibrium curves are described in detail for elastoplastic critical failures in perfect or imperfect, geometric linear or nonlinear elastoplastic materials.
