Densification factors of Cf/TiC-TiB2 ceramic composites by combustion synthesis

Abstract

Cf/TiC-TiB2 ceramic matrix composites with different Cf content was produced by combustion synthesis. The experiment process was presented. The main factors influencing the relative density was studied in detail. Test results show that relative density of preform, delay time td, high pressure P2, pressure maintaining time tp and Cf content influence directly the relative density and properties of product.
