Deforming division and visualization in plastic bulk forming process

Abstract

For the complex and hard analysis of metal flow behaviors in plastic bulk forming process, a deformation division method of using the second invariant of the deviatoric stress tensor J2 and Lode parameter μσ is put forward from the view of plastic mechanics. Quantitative analysis on the plastic zone and the strain type of material can be conducted. Through a second development, the visualization of plastic bulk forming process is realized, which can directly describe the quantitative distribution rule of stress and strain in any plastic regions.
