Abstract

Interfacial debonding of composites beam was detected by 3×3 coupler based fiber optical interferometer. The experiment results show the debonding can be found when the beam is continuously supported. The debonding can also be detected by applying a little pressure when the beam is simply supported. The technique can be used in aviation or other occasion where composites is use to repair.
