Abstract
The damage mechanism of RC infrastructures due to the coupling effect of corrosion-fatigue has not yet been fully revealed. This paper devoted to investigating the damage characteristics of rebars under the coupling effect of stray electric field induced corrosion and axial force-controlled fatigue. Firstly, the detail of simulated concrete pore solution species was determined by thermodynamic calculations. Subsequently, the interfacial reaction kinetics was extracted via the electrochemical methods and fitting approaches. Ultimately, we exhibited the damage deformation process and the macro-morphology of fracture surfaces of rebars. In addition, an ia-rmax-Nf projection surface for evaluating the corrosion-fatigue life of rebars was proposed.
