Cyclist head injuries Based on an electric bicycle to car accident reconstruction

Abstract

Electric bike cyclists are more vulnerable in urban road traffic. The effects of vehicle speed and electric bike speed on the craniocerebral injury of cyclists should be studied. First, the main forms and causes of craniocerebral injury were sorted out in this paper, and the current applicable evaluation criteria for head injury were summarized. Then, MADYMO software was used to reconstruct a real case of electric bike-vehicle collision. The simulation conditions of MADYMO were set by parameters such as collision speed, collision position and acceleration to reproduce the motion response process of each participant after the collision between the vehicle and the electric bike and the cyclist, and the reliability of the simulation model and the feasibility of the simulation test method are verified by comparing with the accident site. Based on verifying the feasibility of the model, two factors affecting the craniocerebral injury of cyclists were studied based on the model: vehicle collision speed and electric bike speed. Through the control variable method, a certain speed of electric bike was selected, and three groups of vehicle speeds were set to study the impact of vehicle collision speed on the brain of cyclists. Select a certain vehicle speed and set two groups of electric bike speed to study the influence of electric bike speed on the brain of cyclists. Finally, the simulation results were analyzed: the peak head acceleration and HIC value under different experimental conditions were obtained from the simulation experiment scheme, and the influence of vehicle speed and electric two-wheeled vehicle speed on the head injury of cyclists was analyzed.
