Abstract

This paper reported a CO2 laser scanning imaging demo system adopting the technology of scanning transmit, the same antenna for receiving and transmitting, heterodyne detection etc. The maximum operation distance of the system was calculated by using the radar distance equation. The imaging experiment with the targets 5 meters away indoors and the building 578 meters away outdoors, with the viewpoint of ±2° × ±1° is carried out. The outline picture of 10 frames per second, and 32 rows per frame are obtained.
